Aloe Vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. An evergreen perennial, it originates from the Arabian Peninsula but grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the world. It is cultivated for agricultural and many other uses.
To open Aloe Vera, clean it and cut off the top third of the leaf. Remove the spines, then remove the top and bottom layers.
Store all the gel extract you get in a new glass or bowl in the fridge to keep it fresh for 5-7 days. For longer shelf life, freeze the gel into ice cubes.
