Paeonia lactiflora 'Sarah Bernhardt' bears enormous, fragrant, double flowers in rose pink, with a ruffles, white edge to the petals. Flower stems may need staking. It makes an excellent cut flower.
Caring Information
As these peonies are delivered in buds, they will require some care to bloom fully and beautifully. Please follow these instructions to enjoy the longevity and beauty of your 'Mistress White' Peonies:
Preparation: As soon as you receive your peony buds, cut about an inch off the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle. This helps the stems to absorb water more effectively.
Vase and Water: Choose a clean vase and fill it with lukewarm water. Add the flower food packet that's included in the package, following the instructions on the packet. This helps to provide the nutrients that the peonies need to bloom.
Placement: Place the peonies in the vase and put them in a cool, draft-free area. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight or near heating vents, as this can cause them to dry out and wilt.
Change the Water: Refresh the water in the vase every two days, making sure to clean the vase each time to prevent the growth of bacteria that could harm the flowers. Re-cut the stems at an angle each time you change the water to enhance water absorption.
Blooming Time: Peonies typically take?a day or two to open. Be patient and soon enough you will see the beautiful white blooms in all their glory.?dipping the buds in hot water for a few seconds and rinsing them helps open the flower
