The plum's skin is semi-thick, smooth with a glossy, dark yellow to a red base. Underneath the surface, the flesh showcases a yellow-orange center surrounding the pit. The flesh also features a slightly firm but tender, succulent, and aqueous consistency, clinging tightly to the central pit.

  • Plum Crisp


    1/3 cup cold butter
    1 cup rolled oats
    1 Tablespoon cinnamon (or to taste)
    3 plums
    1 teaspoon molasses (or to taste)


    1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
    2. Cut the butter into the oats and sprinkle in the cinnamon.
    3. In a small bowl, de-stone and crush the plums. Add the molasses and stir to coat.
    4. Layer the plum mixture in a baking dish and top with oat topping. Press down lightly but firmly to set the top.
    5. Bake 10-12 minutes until juices are bubbling and oats are golden brown.
