Black grapes are medium to large in size and round to oval in shape. The jet-black to blue grapes have medium-thick skin with a slightly waxy finish. The translucent flesh is firm and contains 2-3 small, seeds which are almost undetectable. Black grapes grow on prolific vines in compact clusters that are conical in shape, and each vine can produce up to fifty bunches of grapes.
Black grapes are crisp, juicy, and sweet with moderate acidity and are considered a neutral tasting grape.
The ideal condition for grapes is 30-32 F with 90-95 percent relative humidity. Grapes generally have a much longer shelf life than other berries but they still need care to keep them at their best. Do not store grapes near a cooling unit's direct air path to avoid accelerated dehydration
