Local pomegranates grow in the Asir region. The fruit looks greenish and not really attractive. However, don't be fooled by the appearance. The seeds, technically called arils, are softer than the regular red varieties and super sweet. Their color can be from pale pink to dark red but the taste is usually very consistent.
The seeds are perfect for juicing or salad dressing
They should be kept in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, out of direct sunlight. Whole fruit can be refrigerated and will keep as long as 2 months. Fresh seeds or juice will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
